Robert Chen, Coach
Robert founded NYTTF in 2004 because of his love of the game. “It brings me a lot of happiness, and it makes me feel healthy!” says Robert. His passion for table tennis took him to China where he trained at Era Sha Tao and Tian Jing State Training Centers. Robert has trained with world class players, champions, and coaches including: Thomas Keinath (Germany), Chen Wei Xing (China), and the coaches of Wang Ho, Ma Long, and Jiang Jia Leung. When not at NYTTF, Robert is also the coach of the NYU Table Tennis team (in which its young team recorded its first winning record in 2007).

Robert is also the director of the not-for-profit organization, American Asian Cultural Center of Tribeca (AACCT). This completely volunteer based entity provides community programs in the sports and arts. Find out more at www.aacct.org.

Additionally, Robert is a professional photographer and videographer. His former clients include Infinity Cars and Cantopop singer Alan Tam. Recently he was the personal photographer for the 2008 Shi-Zheng Chen film, “Dark Matter.”
